Damn cold! min = -1 to 0 degrees C!

possibly my slowest double ever! (but it is very wet and slippy/muddy with all the leaves etc)

Half way round the second lap the rear derailleur somhow got stuck in the rear wheel and ended up between the seat-stay and chain-stay - so I had to walk home. Luckily the gear hanger did its job by breaking, and that was the only part I hadto replace. (not sure why the elevation jumps at 5.75 miles, must be a gps blip?)

(did a small jump into a big tree = damaged shoulder and split ear)

Wasted maybe 2 mins moving branches etc the RAF had used to mark out their race route yesterday

(been off the bike since last Sunday when I think I possibly fractured a rib at Fetteresso)

Not sure whats happened with the elevation... I did the same route as always

36:22 - a new record ! (for this direction) - and I wasnt even trying - very low avg hr! (back on the Enduro now too) - compare to the previous record set in 20061107 - what a difference in effort required to get a similar time!

The gear hanger broke half way round the second lap - luckily that was all that broke

1 hour 9 mins 12 seconds - so close! (1 second off the current record)

On the Marin (my bike's having all its bearings changed (again!))

Got a puncture halfway round the second lap, flat tyre in seconds, had to walk home

(The GPS didnt lock on to satellites for about 2 minutes)
Some 'jumps' have been built since Monday on the fast section through the trees near the road but they arent angled correctly and just slow me down

Went over the handlebars at an expected hole...

Taking it nice and easy - still good fast time with low hr

Extremely wet - huge puddles everywhere!

1 hour 13 mins 26 seconds - and low hr too!

Looks like it wuold have been a very fast time, but the army had closed the last part of the route so I had to abort.

35:33 - close... just 10 seconds off the best time yet

36:34 - could have been quicker but I took a different route down one of the long downhills (NE of map) that had been created by a recent Motor Cross trials course - it wasnt as quick but was more technical... also got stuck in the sandy bits created by the MX so could have been a very fast time
